About Monte Easterling

My name is Monte Easterling, I am the owner/manager of Medicare Options Plus. I have a BS degree in Marketing and have been married for 35 years to the same beautify & lovely lady. My wife is a math educator at a local Jr. College. We have two sons, one is a CRNA and one is a Mechanical Engineer. As we all know, being 60+ years old has its challenges, but I still enjoy hiking, weight lifting and jogging, but more so, reading and spending time with our 2-year-old Shih Tzu puppy, named Daisy, she rules the roost. (No Grand-Kids...Yet)

Since graduating college, I've worked in farming, manufacturing, construction, real estate and banking. The experience I acquired from these years provided me a thorough understanding of people from many walks of life. No matter one's career, job title or income level, everyone deserves to be treated honestly and with respect!!!

I started my insurance career approximately 20 years ago as a P&C agent with Farmers Insurance Group, but after 5 years I decided to move into Medicare and worked as a captive agent with United Healthcare, where I was trained by some of the best agents in the industry. After a few years of corporate captivity, I decided it was time for me start my own independent insurance agency, Medicare Options Plus. This has allowed me to represent multiple carriers and provide my customers with more options than I was previously able to, while working as a captive agent with only one carrier.

For the first 10 to 12 years, I drove to hundreds of senior's homes each year and sat on couches, at kitchen tables, front/back porches, truck tailgates and even a few bales of hay, discussing Medicare options with men and women from all walks of life. Some rich, some poor and many in between, but it didn't matter, they were all confused and frustrated and needed assistance, something I truly enjoyed providing. Then Covid hit and the industry changed. Nowadays most of my interaction is over the phone and with the computer. But what hasn't changed is the respect and honesty that my clients still receive. You will be treated as if we are sitting across from each other, on your couch, having a pleasant conversation...and finding the best Medicare plan that fits your needs!
